Warm Springs Ranch is home to the world-famous Budweiser Clydesdales. With 300-plus acres of land and more than 100 Clydesdales, it is the perfect place to spend an afternoon in beautiful Cooper County, Missouri. Guided tours are available daily and last 1.5 hours. Group tours can accommodate up to 60 guests and each one includes a meet-and-greet with the Clydesdales, a stop at the Clydesdale Gift Shop, and more! The ranch is open to the public, but we recommend calling ahead to guarantee your spots on the tour.

Katy Trail State Park

Whether you’re interested in biking, walking, or horseback riding – or just a nature lover or history buff – the Katy Trail is always a great option. Part of the trail is an official segment of the Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail. The newly designated Depot District is right at the end of the road. Be sure to check out the wonderful museum highlighting the importance of the Katy Railroad to the area, as well as information about how the area came to be. Then take a stroll across the newly restored Katy Railroad Bridge and find yourself in the middle of the Missouri River with spectacular views all around you! Harley Park and “Lookout Point” – just 2 blocks away – are must-sees as well!

The Missouri River is the perfect place to take in the scenic vistas first described by Lewis and Clark way back in 1805! The Missouri River was the major water route to the Rocky Mountain west from the time of Lewis and Clark until the arrival of the railroads in the late 1800’s. In addition to its colorful history, the area offers hunting, fishing, and floating opportunities. A small visitor center at Fort Benton supplies historical and recreational information as well!

Lewis Miller’s Mitchell Collection is one of the most extensive collections of Mitchell wagons, bicycles, motorcycles, and automobiles of the 19th and early 20th centuries. It’s the perfect afternoon for car lovers of all ages! Lewis Miller is a direct descendent of the Mitchell and Lewis families and has one of the largest collections of their various products, including items from The Mitchell Wagon Company, Wisconsin Wheel Works, and the Mitchell-Lewis Motor Company. Tours are open to the public, but by appointment only. Don’t forget to call ahead at 1-660-882-3967.

The Palace at the corner of Morgan & Main serves up some of the best food in town and is always hopping on the weekends! Boonville is a walkable town – I encourage you to do so! I-70 is the main road that runs through Boonville as well as the historic remnants of Route 66. Downtown is just 1/3rd of a mile away!
